The Thinking Mother: 18th Carnival of Homeschooling: A Cornucopia of Wisdom

The Thinking Mother: 18th Carnival of Homeschooling: A Cornucopia of Wisdom is up! As usual a wonderful job was done. I particularly liked the piece on the strong willed child over at Higher Up and Further In. Not that i havce any of those;). I am still reading through the carnival, so I am sure I will be commenting on more articles later!

I just had the weirdest Bloglines experience with your site. I clicked my "Add to Bloglines" shortcut while here, and went on my merry way. A few minutes later I'm skimming my Bloglines subs and I click on yours to clear it out - since I was just here and all. However, the feed wasn't yours - it was nerdfamily.blogspot.com, which quit updating in March when the father in that family died young due to cancer.

However, it took me a couple of minutes to realize that it wasn't your feed, and in that couple of minutes I was feeling like a real ass for leaving comments on a couple of older posts when somebody has just died.

So anyway, now I feel better knowing that the nerd family is still with us. Well, I feel bad for that other nerd family, but you know what I mean.

And like any good nerd I tried to figure out exactly how I subscribed to the wrong blog - but I can't get it to happen again.

  • We used to be nerdfamily.blogspot.com and we decided to move the actually hosting to our site. We just use Blogger as the tool but not the storage. That means that there is another NerdFamily. Can you imagine?

  • If you have time check out the comments being left to the 18th CoH entry on my site.

The very post you said you enjoyed has caused quite a stir. A controversy, in fact.
