Fingerprint Friday: I Am Not an Only
I am blessed by having some wonderful friends but, even in the midst of that love you can still feel alone. I'm not the girliest girl and I don't always express emotions the way others think I should. So some assume that I don't have emotions or get frustrated with me. I was reminded by a good friend (thanks Katie) that I am not an only. I never thought I was alone because God is always with me but I felt like I was the only. The only person who responds to challenge this way. The only who can be mournful of a situation at home but completely ok with it out because I feel I must be. The only one who feels that to dwell in sadness is the mistake, but it isn't a denial of the problems or issues just becaue I can funtion happily. I forgot that the Lord has blessed me with some friends who not only accept supressed, uptight me but also are like me. It is very comforting in the chaos we are going through right now. It is great to see yet another Fingerprint of God when we need it so much!

Yes, God is so good to give us just the right friends at just the right time...to understand us and to support us.
I too am blessed with friends who encouraged me to express my feelings and who truly listen and care. It definitely lightens the burden.

You are definitely not an "only." There are many of us out there. Your post reminds of the song, Stained Glass Masquerade by Casting Crowns. We can thank God that he places people in our lives who love us exactly the way we really are...just as He does!

that is so true. and sometimes all we need to know is that we are not the only ones. which, in one way or another, we all feel like at some point.

When we talk things over with friend/family..it is amazing how we seem to handle everything so much better.

It was refreshing for me too....to know that I also am not alone ;). I love that God provided a perfect time and place for us to see that we are not alone in our thoughts and the way we process and display our outward emotions. Thank you to you too!!!

I have special "meetings" I go to and its amazing almost word for word out of hundreds of mouths all the secrets I thought only I had:)
