Cheap and Easy Headboard
I can't be the only person to be cheap. I have to say that non-functional furniture has been the lowest priority. So NerdDad and I have been married almost 12 years without a headboard. But maybe not to much longer! Yahoo has an easy How-to piece on making your own upholstered headboard. I have seen it done on tv before but it seems a lot simpler with written instructions.

12 years and no head board! this is a nice design. have you also considered an old door, windows, or fencing?
