Scrubs: The Joy and the Pain

I saw a commercial for the new season of Scrubs to be aired in January on ABC. I was so excited. Then this morning I see that not only is Zach Braff leaving Scrubs, he has already left (this new season is done filming). Apparently he is enjoying his free time in Israel and gave an interesting interview to Haaretz. I had no idea that he came from a Kosher home. But apparently he has been so inspired by his trip to Israel that it may be an inspiration for a new movie.

He does say that Scrubs isn't necessarily ending but we will see what it is like without him.

Friday Fun: Color Surprise

YELLOW

You are very perceptive and smart. You are clear and to the point and have a great sense of humor. You are always learning and searching for understanding.

Find out your color at QuizMeme.com!

I was a little surprised for yellow given that blue is my favorite color. Oh well. I do like the written description;).

Science and Exploding Fun!

I always wanted to play with dry ice when I was in high school and I never got my hands on it. If I ever had I think this is what it might have looked like. I am just proud to say these are homeschoolers (well, one has graduated).

And She's Back, Somewhat....

I am home and quasi alert;).The surgery was more extensive than I expected in some ways so it is going to take me a little longer to get over it. I don't know if I am loopier than I am with just a normal c-section or if I am usually still in the hospital and don't notice. But either way I am not comfortable but I will live.

Back to our normally scheduled programs;).

NerdMom Out!

I am sure that you notice that the words hysteria and hysterectomy have the same basic root: hister. That is because the Greeks believed that a woman's uterus would come lose and meander through her body, landing on her brain making her crazy. (a little something I picked up in a Women in Church History seminar class)

This is what I am thinking of as I leave to go to the hospital to be liberated of my uterus. This isn't a big deal because I was done with it anyway but it does mean I won't be posting for a few days.

See you when I get back!

Schwarzenegger Says Californians are Poorer Than Previously Thought, Must Take More Money

So California finally got a budget after forever but then they underestimated the taxes the state would take in. That is because everyone has less money and is spending less money. So to make up for it The Governator wants to enact a 1.5 cent tax hike. Yea, that sounds right. People are broke so let us make them broker.

Rooting for Failure

I feel a bit guilty but I am now rooting for Pushing Daisies to fail and fail soon! It appears that if Pushing Daisies doesn't get picked up by mid-January its creator, Brian Fuller, will come back to Heroes. While he wouldn't come back on staff it looks like he will consult. Heroes has been lacking in quality this season even though there seems to be a great setup and a good base going.

Though I do think it is brilliant of Fuller to make ABC aware if they drop his show he will bury them on NBC with Heroes.
